Onder Babur
Eindhoven University of Technology
Brief Bio
Önder Babur is a PhD student in the Software Engineering & Technology (SET) group at Eindhoven University of Technology. He holds an MSc degree from RWTH Aachen, Germany and a BSc degree from METU, Turkey. He has further experience as a software engineer in Germany and as a researcher in Spain. His main research interests lie in the fields of model-driven engineering, software architectures, domain-specific languages, and recently applied data mining and machine learning for those domains. Over the years, he has been involved in a number of research projects on automotive software engineering and software product lines, green computing and multiscale modeling for computational science. He currently focuses on data analytics and machine learning applications for models, where he publishes his work in international venues and cooperates with ASML. He has recently obtained a NIRICT funding in the Netherlands on model analytics, where he collaborates with a multi-disciplinary group of researchers and practitioners from the industry to mitigate the emerging scalability problems in model-driven/-based systems.
Loek Cleophas
Eindhoven University of Technology
Brief Bio
Loek Cleophas is a researcher and developer in model-driven software engineering; algorithmics and algorithm engineering; and applied formal methods. He is an Assistant Professor in the Software Engineering Technology group at TU Eindhoven (the Netherlands) and a Research Fellow in the Department of Information Science at Stellenbosch University (South Africa). He received his MSc and PhD in Computing Science and Engineering from TU Eindhoven in 2003 and 2008. His dissertation contained algorithm taxonomies, new algorithms, and empirical evaluation of algorithms for pattern matching on trees, with applications in compilers, natural language processing, and other data processing. Since then, he has spent a number of years as a researcher at the University of Pretoria in South Africa and at Umeå University in Sweden working primarily on efficient pattern matching, and as a visiting academic at TU Braunschweig on software engineering product lines and using correctness-by-construction approaches for algorithmic product line engineering. Dr. Cleophas also spent a number of years as a joint researcher between TU Eindhoven and ASML, working on domain-specific languages and model-driven generation of hardware simulations code for testing ASML’s lithography machines. His industrial experience further includes a position as a search and information retrieval engineer at Kalooga, working on its high-performance text and image search and classification technology.
Bedir Tekinerdogan
Wageningen University
Brief Bio
Bedir Tekinerdogan is full professor and chairholder of the Information Technology group at Wageningen University in The Netherlands. He received his MSc degree and a PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Twente in The Netherlands. He graduated around 50 MSc students, supervised around 20 PhD students and developed more than 15 academic computer science courses. He has also been very active in scientific conferences and organized more than 50 conferences/workshops on important software engineering research topics. He has around 25 years of experience in software engineering research and education. He has been active in many national and international research and consultancy projects with various large software companies. His current research at Wageningen University concerns smart system of systems engineering, with an emphasis on software engineering and information technology. Model-Driven/-Based Software Engineering (MDSE/MBSE) promotes the use of (meta-)models and model transformations as first-class citizens to tackle the complexity of building software systems. With their increasing maturity and widespread use (even for large ecosystems and systems of systems), the complexity, size, multiplicity and variety of those artefacts increase. Scalability with respect to variety and multiplicity has remained mostly under the radar. The International Workshop on MOdel MAnagement And Analytics (MoMA3N) aims to gather MDSE/MBSE researchers and practitioners to discuss the emerging scalability problems and propose solutions. The scope ranges from industrial reports and empirical analyses in the problem domain to novel cross-disciplinary approaches for large-scale analytics and management, e.g. exploiting techniques from data analytics, repository mining and machine learning.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
• Industrial reports and empirical studies on scalability in MDSE/MBSE;
• Identification of open research challenges and proposed solutions;
• Repository mining and management for MDSE/MBSE artefacts;
• Applications of explorative or descriptive data analytics;
• Applications of predictive analytics and machine learning;
• Large-scale model management and consistency checking;
• Natural language processing for MDSE/MBSE;
• Model searching, indexing, retrieval, storage;
• Visualisation of (possibly heterogeneous) large sets of MDSE/MBSE artefacts;
• Techniques to analyse and automate (co-)evolution in MDSE/MBSE;
• Variability mining and management, model-driven software product lines;
• Distributed computing for MDSE/MBSE, with an eye towards Big Data;
• Intelligent techniques for automating MDSE/MBSE tasks.
