Brief Bio
Luís Ferreira Pires was born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1961. He obtained his B.Sc. degree in Electronics from the 'Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica' (São José dos Campos, Brazil) in 1983 and, his M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the 'Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo' (São Paulo, Brazil), in the Computer Networks specialisation, in 1989. He obtained his PhD degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Twente, Enschede, the Netherlands, in September 1994. Since 1988 he is working at the University of Twente (Enschede, The Netherlands), ini tially as research fellow of the Faculty of Computer Science, from 1992 to 1994 as Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and since 1994 as Associate Professor of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science. He is currently also Programme Director of the Business & IT Bachelor and Master Education Programmes of the University of Twente. He is a member of the Services, Cyber-security and Safety (SCS) group. His professional interests are design methodologies for distributed systems, architecture of distributed systems, modelling and specification techniques, middleware platforms and telematics applications. Brief Bio
Slimane Hammoudi is Professor at ESEO in Angers-France, a graduate school of engineering in electronics, computing, networking and telecommunications. Since 2003 his research interests have been in the main area of Model Driven Engineering with the focus on two application domains: Web Services and Context-Awareness. Since 2005, he has served as a co-chair of a workshop on Model Driven Development (MDEIS and FTMDD), a satellite workshop of ICEIS, international conference on enterprise information systems. Slimane Hammoudi is Professor at ESEO in Angers-France, a graduate school of engineering in electronics, computing, networking and telecommunications. Since 2003 his research interests have been in the main area of Model Driven Engineering with the focus on two application domains: Web Services and Context-Awareness.
